The Veeam offering replicates VMware VMs through snapshots or Continuous Data Protection (CDP). It describes ordered VM startup and VSS-aware protection for applications such as SQL Server and Exchange. [1]
Onboarding requires compatible virtual-environment and Veeam versions. Recovery runs in VMware Cloud Director; CDP also requires I/O filters on the protected clusters. [2]

The Zerto offering describes console-driven tests for individual applications, application groups, or a whole site. Autopilot Managed Recovery adds provider operation of tests, live failovers, provisioning, and changes. [5]

The Veeam FAQ includes provider-side Cloud Connect licensing, reserved storage, compute, and unlimited bandwidth. Burst CPU/RAM during testing or failover is usage-billed. Required customer-side Veeam licensing is available for an additional monthly fee. [1]
